Phoebe Crockett has been elected as a councillor for Surf Coast Shire Council’s Torquay Ward, after the Victorian Electoral Commission conducted a countback of votes from the October 2024 general election.

The election manager, Roger Millar, declared the result at 10 am on Thursday 6 November.

The countback included unsuccessful candidates who were still eligible for election.

The vacancy occurred after the resignation of Councillor Rebecca Bourke.
