Connect with us on social media

We use social media to help people learn about elections. We also share information about how democracy works in Victoria.

We check our social media during business hours, 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. We don't check them on weekends or public holidays. During election periods, we monitor them more often to provide quick responses and updates.

Community guidelines

We are independent and impartial. These terms and conditions ensure our social media presence does not impact with our ability to run elections or fulfil our other roles.

We use our social media platforms to share electoral information and engage with the community. We have turned off comments and responses on our YouTube channel. If you want to discuss or comment on any videos, please contact us through our other social media platforms. If you see any accounts pretending to be us, please report them to socialmedia@vec.vic.gov.au.

We follow or subscribe to organisations or people in the Australian electoral sector. This doesn't mean we endorse them.

All social media content is authorised by S. Bluemmel, Electoral Commissioner, 530 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria, unless stated otherwise.
