Voting options: Werribee District by-election

Voting is your right. By voting, you get to have a say in who represents you in Parliament. That’s what our democracy is all about.

Voting is also a responsibility. If you don’t vote, you may get a $99 fine.

There are several ways you can vote in the Werribee District by-election.

Applications to vote by post in this by-election close at 6 pm on Wednesday 5 February.

Apply for a postal vote

If you are already enrolled as a general postal voter, we will automatically post you your ballot pack. Please do not reapply. 

We will post ballot packs out from Wednesday 29 January 2025, after nominations have closed and all the candidates are confirmed.

You can vote early between Wednesday 29 January and Friday 7 February.

You don’t need a reason to vote early.

We will share the early voting centre locations closer to the voting period.

You can vote at any voting centre in Werribee District on Saturday 8 February.

Registrations close at 5 pm on Tuesday 21 January.

Vote by phone

You can register for telephone assisted voting if you are blind, have low vision or have a physical disability and can’t vote without assistance.
