How we are celebrating Cultural Diversity Week

Cultural Diversity Week is from 17 to 23 March. Victoria is home to a diverse multicultural population, with a significant number of residents born overseas, speaking over 200 languages and dialects, and practicing a wide range of religions. The week is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of multicultural communities to Victoria.

Our workforce at the VEC also reflects this rich diversity. To recognise and celebrate our multicultural strengths, we will be hosting a Taste of Harmony event, bringing colleagues together to share and appreciate the many cultures represented within our organisation through food, stories, and meaningful conversations.

Beyond our workplace, we regularly engage with Victoria’s diverse communities by attending various cultural events. We will be at Melton City Council’s Cultural Diversity Week Festival on Saturday 22 March. You can ask us questions about voting and enrolment or collect any of our free educational resources and merchandise.

Date: Saturday 22 March
Time: 11 am – 3 pm
Location: Melton Community Hall, 238 High Street, Melton
