Party re-registration process concludes

All 16 of Victoria's registered political parties have been re-registered by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) following a review that required each political party to demonstrate they have at least 500 eligible members.

As required under Victoria's electoral laws, all registered parties needed to apply for re-registration by Monday 28 October 2024 to maintain their registration.

The 16 registered parties are:

Animal Justlice Party
Australian Labor Party - Victorian Branch
Companions and Pets Party
Democratic Labour Party (DLP)
Family First Victoria
Freedom Party
Legalise Cannabis Victoria
Liberal Party of Australia - Victorian Division
Libertarian Party
National Party of Australia - Victoria
New Democrats
Pauline Hanson's One Nation
Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party Victoria
Sustainable Australia Party - Stop Overdevelopment / Corruption
The Australian Greens - Victoria
Victorian Socialists
