Party re-registration process concludes

All 16 of Victoria's registered political parties have been re-registered by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) following a review that required each political party to demonstrate they have at least 500 eligible members.

As required under Victoria's electoral laws, all registered parties needed to apply for re-registration by Monday 28 October 2024 to maintain their registration.

The 16 registered parties are:

  • Animal Justlice Party
  • Australian Labor Party - Victorian Branch
  • Companions and Pets Party
  • Democratic Labour Party (DLP)
  • Family First Victoria
  • Freedom Party
  • Legalise Cannabis Victoria
  • Liberal Party of Australia - Victorian Division
  • Libertarian Party
  • National Party of Australia - Victoria
  • New Democrats
  • Pauline Hanson's One Nation
  • Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party Victoria
  • Sustainable Australia Party - Stop Overdevelopment / Corruption
  • The Australian Greens - Victoria
  • Victorian Socialists
