The VEC produces a range of publications to document local electoral activity and provide information and analysis for major local council electoral events. Reports are also produced after every representation or subdivision review the VEC conducts.
This document defines the direction and strategies the VEC will implement for the local council elections scheduled for 27 October 2012.
A 2012 Council Elections Backgrounder has also been produced. This document provides key information about the election, including enrolment, nomination information, details about the various election methods, how the results will be delivered and what legislation has changed since the last local council general elections in 2008.
A complete list of all candidates in the local government elections 2008 accompanies Part 1 and is available as a separate download.
