For immediate release

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reminding voters in Dandenong West and sections of Noble Park that they have until 6 pm Friday 8 March to vote in the Yarraman Ward by-election.

'You need to post your completed ballot pack before your local mail is picked up to make sure it is counted. This could be earlier than 6 pm, or earlier in the week,' Election Manager Jenni Colgan said.

'You can also drop your ballot pack off at the election office located at Ground Floor, 237 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong before 6 pm on Friday 8 March.'

Any voter who still hasn't received their ballot pack should call the election office immediately on 03 9678 1488. The office will be open from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays until Wednesday 6 March and on Thursday 7 March until 8 pm and Friday 8 March until 6 pm.

Voting is compulsory for voters who were on the state roll for this by-election at 4 pm Friday 12 January. State-enrolled voters who don't vote may be fined. The VEC encourages council‑enrolled voters to vote, but they will not be fined if they don't.
