Last chance to enrol for Greater Dandenong City Council by-election

Electoral Commissioner Sven Bluemmel is reminding voters in Greater Dandenong City Council, Yarraman Ward to check their enrolment ahead of the upcoming by-election.

'If you live or pay rates in Yarraman Ward, make sure you’re enrolled by 4 pm on Friday 12 January,' Mr Bluemmel said. 'Residents and ratepayers, as well as new citizens and people who have just turned 18, can check their enrolment or complete a new enrolment form online at vec.vic.gov.au'

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) website also allows people who have moved to update their addresses. New or updated enrolments must be received by 4 pm on Friday 12 January to count for the upcoming by-election.

'If you are an owner, occupier, company nominee or not an Australian citizen but pay rates for an address in Yarraman Ward you may be able to enrol in a special category by applying to Greater Dandenong City Council on 03 8571 5216,' Mr Bluemmel added.
