Most people prefer to vote at voting centres on election day. However, there are many alternative ways of voting available for people who are unable to get to a voting centre on that day.
Voting always takes place on a Saturday and voting centres are open from 8:00am until 6:00pm. Their locations are advertised before the election in the media and on this website.
When you arrive at the voting centre, you will be directed to an election official who will ask for your name and address, and whether you have already voted in the election. The election official will also:

Voting centres close promptly at 6:00pm. The counting of the votes then starts.
