Group voting tickets


A group voting ticket is used in elections that have above or below the line voting.

The boxes above the thick black line on the ballot paper (shown below) represent the political parties, or groups, that have candidates in the election. A group voting ticket is a statement by each party or group as to how preferences will be directed for each above the line vote for them

Each party or group involved in the election must register at least one group voting ticket with the VEC after the close of nominations. Every registered group voting ticket is made available on this website prior to election day, and is also on display in every voting centre.
